With background of British Raj upon India in 1920s, we learned some facts about colonial arrogance and inequality and how these oppressed people were trying to fight back. Although the author, Forester, might inadvertently create a Caucasian hero, Mr.
Fielding, but deep inside, he still honestly captured the spirit and muddle of that era.
