Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Carebear M — 22 Jul 2008
My, how the mighty have fallen. It's amazing that the series went from such a highpoint with Part 4, only to fall so low with this mess of a movie. The decision was made for a darker feel here, and we get that.
But it would have made a lot more sense to make Robert Englund's Freddy Krueger darker. The performance here is contrived as Englund is clearly not having a good time. He must have felt what a bad movie was being made.
For die-hard Freddy fans only. The worst of the series.
