Stunning visual effects, very gruesome deaths and zero plot define number 5, one of the worst entries. Although the viewer gets plenty of elaborate new dream sequences and funny Freddy quips, the story is just a retread of the same formula used before.
The only difference: Freddy uses the dreams of an unborn child to kill people while they are awake.
