So this time, we get a whole movie with Lisa Wilcox. There's an improvement. Unlike the 4th one, where halfway through, the baton is awkwardly handed off to a new set of characters, this time we get one protagonist. I like that. It feels like I'm watching an entire movie. So anyway, you can tell they're kind of losing steam here, because it's been about 2 hours since I watched it, and I can barely remember any of the kills. Oh wait, I remember now. This one has some pretty awesome special effects. One thing this series does well is how even though it's the same formula, at least they shake things up with some really inventive sequences like a kid getting sucked into a comic book before being sliced to ribbons. I like that. Jason Voorhees was never that creative. Also, this isn't really a horror film as it is a drama about a girl who gets knocked up, and ends protecting her child from an unstoppable killer-.

Sound familiar? Well, no, because it's 1989. T2 and Juno didn't come out yet. But seeing it after those two films, it definitely feels like a cross of those two movies with Freddy Kruger as the Terminator, and Lisa Wilcox as Ellen Page.

Whew, rambling again. So, yeah, it's pretty good. Kind of stale, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. It's just a pity Miss Wilcox would never steal Freddy's soul (and our hearts) again.
