Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Du'sean L — 08 Nov 2009
This movie actually attempts to be funny, when it actually is exceedingly dark. It's not an entertaining movie: in fact, it's very unpleasant to watch. Not in a good way, like The Thing or The Fly, but like watching a baby getting tortured.
It's a sort of gothic film, and that doesn't mix well with Freddy's wit and the increasingly freaky deaths of the victims. After all, who wants to watch a movie that features the rape of a nun? It's pretty messed up stuff, but certainly not enjoyable messed up stuff.
Just don't watch it and you'll be a happier person.
