Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Dc F — 25 Jun 2010
The idea of the movie was good, but holy crap was it a mess. The plot was a bunch of shitty kills and half-asses special effects. The year was 1989, I know CGI is still a decade away, but holy crap, all the prequels were better!!!! But there's one thing I don't get.
...Freddy wouldn't be deformed as a baby! isn't he fine until he's burned alive as an adult? Whatever, I know I'm beating a dead horse now, but the kills in this film were BORING. Geez, I watch a slasher film for cool deaths, suspense, and perhaps a laugh.
This movie had the laugh, one decent kill (motorcycle scene), and no suspense whatsoever. Much worse than the other movies previous.
