Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) by Jason F — 04 Jan 2009
Now it's just getting stupid. Freddy is reborn from some ghost mother and invades Alice's fetus child's dreams to kill her friends. It's stupid. I mean, at one point Alice draws herself into her friends nightmare, and I don't mean convinces herself to go, but gets a marker and draws a stick figure on a picture and is transported in. Retarded. Each movie gets farther and farther away from the original idea of Freddy. By the next film he might as well materialize out of someones fart because they ate his favorite meal the night before.
I'd say the killings were the best part of this movie, they were all disgusting, so I guess that's good. But saying i'm watching these movie's for the killings makes it equal to any other slasher film, something the first movie in the series proved not to be, but it's sequels can't resist apparently.
