Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Larissa B — 05 Feb 2009
Probably the most creative of the Nightmare sequels, and ironically the only one to get a 15 rating in the UK. More screen time for Freddy 2 - once he's been resurrected that is! The idea of prottecting yourself from your dreams and the powers versus sould metaphor of Alice's dead friends makes for a decent story.
This and the original Nightmare film are my favourites. The fun factor is defintiely around with this installment and some of the death scenes are quite elaborate.
