Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Lee P — 11 Oct 2010
I appreciate how they were able to continue the story (even though the basic premise of why Freddy was doing what he did is kind of lost) and the fact that they still kept up a likable cast and good story...
One of my biggest complaints is that the film wasn't dark enough. This is a series about a guy who haunts you in your nightmares and kills you with all the power available to him in the dream world. This film was a very light-toned edition to the series and none of the actual nightmare sequences were really that good...
This also marked the beginning of Freddy basically spouting one-liners in almost every sentence. God help us.
