Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) by Dann M — 26 Oct 2012
In the absence of Wes Craven the series starts to derail once again in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. In this chapter Freddy Krueger is resurrected and seeks out the Elm Street children that escaped from him during his last reign of terror.
Unfortunately, the writing is rather poor and does a disservice to the characters and to the overarching story of the series. However, the dreams and the kills remain quite imaginative and entertaining.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master continues the thrills and the chills, but it's not as fresh or as well written as previous installments.
