Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Ross%20 K — 08 Apr 2018
This 3rd entry in the slasher series ignores the events of the former entry in the series (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) largely takes place in a mental hospital where teenagers are troubled by nightmares of dream stalker Freddy Kreuger.
However Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) from the first movie starts working there and leads the teens to fight back against Fred Kreuger (Robert Englund giving his best performance in the whole series).
Also stars Patricia Arquette as Kristen Parker, John Saxon reprising his role as Donald Thompson from the original masterpiece, Lawrence Fishburne as Max Daniels an orderly at Westin Hills Hospital. This is an example of a sequel topping the original with outstanding performances, great effects for 1987, and an excellent story, this is also proof that with horror movies of this kind it's not always the case of "the original being the only one worth watching".
