The best of the sequels that pits the victims as people who can actually stop freddy's terrorising. craven helped with this addition and it does close a chapter from the first film. the film doesn't focus on the horror as much as the previous films for that the film the film works.
the story is well developed and the cast works well, still not a patch on the original but this is as close as the franchise got to the first as any of them did.
