Easily in my top 3 of the saga, this movie has some of my favourite things in movies. Asylums, Laurence Fishburne...and Freddy!
A group of teenagers in a mental asylums all share the same dream of our favourite slasher: Freddy Krueger. He intends to pick them off one-by-one until his reign of terror is complete. Standing in his way? The very first person to ever defeat him...Nancy Thompson!
ACTING: While still a slasher flick (another words, poor acting is a prerequisite), there are a few performances that do stand out. I think the girl who played Taryn, however, was TERRIBLE!
STORY: Again, I love my asylum movies! Freaky-tastic dream sequences aid this one as well. Very fun movie.
FINALE DEATH: Kind of a religious twist. Taking his bones (that the parents who torched him, disposed of) and burying them with holy water. Neat thought.
OVERALL: 4 out of 5.
