It's about as good as the first one (which means that it's shit, but less shit than the 2nd film).
There's one or two nice sequences in this film, but none of them really gel to create any sort of satisfying whole. I hate the first film, and this was about as good as that -although I don't hate it quite as much because its reputation is hardly as good as that of the first film. I think it's a pretty safe bet at this point to say that New Nightmare is going to be my favourite of the franchise by far.
