Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Luc L — 02 Sep 2012
The best of the "Elm Street" sequel, it is imaginative written and directed. It does answer some questions about Krueger's back story. The kids are appealing here, especially Arquette. Wasson is good as a sympathetic psychologist.
Fishburne is barely in this one, imagine how come Fishburne come face to face with Freddy in a dream sequence! Only Langenkamp, who was so good in the original Elm Street gives an weak performance as the lead.
Englund is still scary as Krueger, which he does have some memorable lines of his own. Special Visual Effects are quite impressive for a low budget horror film. Some amusing cameos too. Craven co-wrote the story.
