Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Nicki M — 27 Dec 2012
When I first watched "A Nightmare on Elm Street", a film made me a very strong impression. Very cool music, a sea of blood and a very scary atmosphere made me, like many others, fear of Freddy Krueger - the character ever become for many a symbol of the main symbol of horror. Sequel to my disappointment, we got a lot worse than the original. Director, frankly, "scored" in a climate of fear and settled the whole movie tens of thousands of liters of blood. As a result, the second film is a prolonged and utterly boring tyagomotinu. So, to watch "Dream Warriors", I came up with a great caution. Fingers crossed, I clicked on "start" and ... surprised. "Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The War of sleep" turned out much better than its predecessor and, surprisingly, has become my favorite in the series.
Why the sudden improvement? It is possible that in the script, who wrote the first part of director Wes Craven. On the one hand, the story introduced a new group of charismatic teens. On the other - Nancy Thompson returned as a main character. In the story, this time she is working in a psychiatric hospital. Patients in her nightmares, in which a terrible Freddy Krueger wants to kill them. That is what all of them and binds them - the last Elm Street children. But all in a dream is hit. One - magician, the other has incredible physical strength, and the third - "beautiful and dangerous." In addition, we learn many interesting details of the life of the "bloody infanticide." Wes Craven wrote a very original and interesting plot, brush up on old history and has brought in a series of many new and unusual.
"Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The War of sleep", of all the films Freddy Krueger, I like the most. And it was to be in such a remake of the original film, released in the 2010th. The creators have continued the old story, introduced new, interesting characters and much more cool and beautiful special effects.
