Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is the only sequel other than New Nightmare that had Wes Craven's involvement. That could be why it's one of the better sequels in the series. It has it's goofy moments as most of the films do but it also has it's share of scares.
The film also has some of the better dream sequences and murders of the series.
