While the original A Nightmare On Elm Street movie was so good, this movie was butt-fuckingly bad. Why do you ask? Well in the name of Michael Bay, that name sums it all up. The story is about a group of teenagers who are instantly killed so throughout the second half of the movie, there will be no more death scenes.

But let's move on: when the remaining two teens ask their parents why the others are dying, they reply that a child molester named Freddy Krueger who worked as a school gardener at their pre-school took them to the basement and molested them there so the parents chased him down to the boiler room and burnt him there and now he is coming back for vengeance against the parents' kids.

Anyway the remaining two teens believing that Freddy is innocent try to dump their parents and run away so that they can find out some clues from their old pre-school and the rest of this movie is bland as hell.

They changed so much that the movie makes no sense. First of all, they made Freddy look less scary because Freddy is not a child molester; he was a child murderer and rapist basically a pedophile. I will make that Jackie Earle Haley was great as the new Freddy and he did do a great job at replacing Robert Englund but it's not his fault that the movie sucked so bad.

it's the rest of the cast and the crew who paid no attention into making this a good movie. If anyone cared for this movie, this would have been a complex, bloody, gory summer blockbuster similar to the Saw movies and the first Rob Zombie remake of Halloween but instead we got this, the story makes no god damn sense, the villain is less scary, the rest of the characters are stupid, the deaths are bloody for the sake of being bloody, the plot is all over the damn place, does this movie even care about what it was even doing at all, at all? A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010) gets a 4.

4/10.
