So, I finally broke down and watched the remake of the 1984 classic "A Nightmare on Elm St.". I have to say that while I'm not a big fan of Mr. K.'s new look, the remake does a good job of mixing the terror of the concept with what is possible in terms of modern technology.
The only real complaint I have with the film is that it seems like the writers couldn't focus for the first half of the film as to who the protagonist was. The key positives are the use of color, light and shadow, and the iconic silhouette that really identify this movie as a tribute to the franchise.
