If ever a movie could be accused of just going through the motions... If only the teenagers had half the personality of the originals' (they don't... in fact they may as well be cardboard standees) and if it tried harder to be its own movie rather than borrowing scares from the original (even though they make no sense in the context of the remake's script) this might have turned out better cause Jackie Earle Haley sure nailed the creepy-not-campy Freddy.
