Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) by Vern — 04 Oct 2010
This movie was rather generic. There were a few cool sequences here and there, but those sequences are what a 'Nightmare' movie should be filled with: creative and ironic dreamscapes. This one only offered a few of them.
Freddy was only semi-intimidating and changing his voice to a wierd growl was more of a distraction than scary. But in comparison, it was a better movie than Friday the 13th (2009) and Prom Night (2008), and about as good as Halloween (2007) which isn't saying much.
I'd say don't even bother renting it, but if it's on tv (and it probably will be in a few months), then its worth checking out.
