A Nightmare on Elm Street is a masterpiece of cinema. The exquisite cinematography, score, and innovation are top notch. From the opening to the end, the film is wall to wall suspense. The buildup for the kills were brilliant and Wes Craven's direction make this film truly visceral.
Wes Craven's A Nightmare On Elm Street is comparable to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. The greatest horror film of all time.
