Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by David G — 10 Aug 2012
This is the best of the 80's slasher films. It uses fear instead of gore to get its point across. Freddy himself is well portrayed and terrifying. The idea of having to fight sleep to stay alive is brilliant.
The only thing that makes me not super gung ho about this one is a slapped on ending that leaves you with a bad taste. Other than that this stands tall among its peers.
