This wonderful and inventive horror film started a slasher craze from the director of "The Last House on the Left", "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Scream." Teenagers in the small town of Springwood are being haunted by the dream demon named Freddy Kreuger (played devilishly by Robert Englund) and the teens' efforts to stop him.
Among the teens are Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp), Rod Lane (Nick Corri), Glen Lantz (Johnny Depp in his first film role) and Tina Grey (Amanda Wyss). Timeless visuals and effects power this suspense fest which is sure to frighten for many years to come.
