Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Aj R — 02 Mar 2013
The most philosophical slasher movie I've ever seen, Fred Kruger represents fear itself and his power can only be taken away by you choosing not to give him power anymore. I feel as if it was only made with the intention of helping people overcome their fears.
Very zen, very poetic, I don't care if it's rated R, it's the kind of movie I'd force my kids to see. If only the sequels were anything like it.
