Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Lisa B — 23 Mar 2013
Wes Craven's "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is one of the most iconic horror films of all time and is considered by many (and myself) to be a cult classic. This movie frightened audiences back in 1984 and it is still frightening today.
"A Nightmare on Elm Street" follows the story of Nancy Thompson (played by Heather Langenkamp) and her teenage friends as they are having horrible nightmares. Nightmares about a man with a burned face, a green and red striped sweater, a dirty brown fedora hat, and a glove on his right hand with four blades for fingers, known as the infamous Freddy Krueger, played by Robert Englund.
Together, Nancy and her friends must find a way to stop the killer before they are all gone.Robert does a PERFECT performance as Freddy and Heather performs FLAWLESSLY as Nancy. This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time and I give this classic a SOLID 5 out of 5 stars.
Watch this one for sure.
