Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Chris B — 13 Feb 2014

I love this film, it's up there with Halloween in my opinion, such a unique horror film, I love wes craven he is one of my favorite horror directors, this came out in the 80's slasher craze, because of the success of Halloween and Friday the 13th there was tons and tons of generic slasher films that followed the same formula as Friday the 13th, a group of teenagers get high and then get brutally slaughtered by a masked killer, but this film was so creative for it's time, so different from the rest of the pack, freddy Krueger scared me to death as a little kid and I know I'm not alone on that one, he is a great horror icon and is the main reason most of the kids from the 80's couldn't sleep at night, great film, check it out it's a must if you're a horror fan!
