One of the only INTELLIGENT slasher films to date, 'Nightmare' is a fantastic horror film, as original as it is effective, and it remains timeless. Wes Craven has such a knack for creating memorable, well-rounded characters in his films, which is so rare for horror pictures.
And never have his skills been put to better use than in 'A Nightmare On Elm Street'.
