Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Zach L — 24 Feb 2015
Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street has one of the most original concepts for a horror movie. It suggests that this creature attacks teenagers in their dreams and can sometimes get sucked into the actual world.
It is oddly unique, full of visually appealing effects that are still impressive today. Though it is original, the premise can weigh down some of the scares which can go for more a special effects appeal.
This is, however, mostly an intelligent horror classic that audiences can still appreciate today.
