Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by German P — 25 Oct 2016
The imagery in this film alone is enough to make this one of my favorite horror films. By far my favorite images that have stuck with me since my very first viewing have to be Freddy protruding off of the wall and the unrealistic amount of blood that burst out of the bed.
The characters are also actually interesting to watch which really helps whenever Freddy isn't on screen. The pacing of the film is also surprisingly great making it for one quick and easy watch. For the most part I enjoyed almost every second of this film.
The only part that didn't work for me was when Freddy gets caught up in the traps that Nancy sets up for him. It just looked very silly to see Freddy fall for all the traps. But other than that I love everything else about the film.
