Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Vortex Shadow — 05 Jan 2017
For a somewhat B-rate style horror flick, Wes Craven's imaginative flick really does blow its contemporaries out of the water. Although the score and actors themselves are mostly average and immemorable at best, the story and Freddy's legacy really endure rather well.
Couple that with the fact that any goofiness is intended and fit, as opposed to that of, say, Friday the 13th, and I'd actually be glad to watch this film again, rather than dread it.
