Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) by Jordan J — 08 Oct 2017
This is a fun horror movie classic. Sure it's grown more and more cheesy over the years but there is no way you can deny that Freddy is not scary. There are some parts in this movie that feel cheesy but this movie works with it.
It doesn't let the cheesiness take it down. I also thought this movie was creative. It had a neat concept for a slasher movie. The cast was pretty good in their parts in this movie too. Nancy was a good lead character for this movie.
Now Robert Englund as the iconic Freddy Krueger, wow, this guy is still kind of scary. He's just so unnatural, it ends up being creepy because it's not normal. That is where most of the horror comes from in this movie.
Overall this is a good slasher movie. Just make sure that after you watch this movie, just don't go to sleep. A-.
