Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Sol H — 22 Dec 2008
From the very first time I saw this film, I declared it the best film ever made about the Titanic. Based on a book, which was based strictly on documented evidence and sworn testimony from actual survivors, A NIGHT TO REMEMBER feels more like a documentary rather than a film.
Watching the film again recently, I realized how much James Cameron's TITANIC tries to emulate this film. This is, truly, a remarkable film.
