Review of A Night to Remember (1958) by Anne F — 17 May 2010
This is the BEST Titanic movie you can see, way over Cameron's Titanic. Mostly accurate, except for the christening scene at the beginning of the movie that never happened with the real ship (This was a White Star Line tradition not to christen ships).
This movie centers around 2nd Officer Charles Lightoller, which the viewer connects with him and the ship early on. Very well written and to the point, without the blown out love stories that soak the movie.
There are a few here and there, but the story moves on accordingly. A highly recommended movie for any Titanic fanatic.
