Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Amilcar A — 09 Feb 2008
Absolute classic. One must wonder where this level of talent went? Great physical comedy, music - everything!
The movie has an inherent sweetness and innocence, even in all the chaos (nothing like using a violin for a bat!!!!).
This movie is essential to anyone that likes comedy and classic cinema.
The influence in modern movies is outstanding.
Sadly now we have to deal with Tom "Glib" Cruise.
I would only say these guys make me rather nervous:).
