Review of A Night at the Opera (1935) by Derrick D — 18 Oct 2008
I am the kind of person who is entertained just watching the Marx Brothers, even when they are off their game. There are some great scenes and classic lines here, but the movie does not deliver all the way though.
I fast forwarded through the singing parts, and anyone under 35 probably should do the same considering how few people today enjoy the piercing love songs that were big in the 1930s. Some of the humor is too dated, but there is enough craziness and one liners to keep me entertained.
