A very funny movie featuring several brilliantly written and acted, old school spoken humour based scenes (Matthau's expressions are priceless!) But the film had a more morbid side to it as well - one that is underplayed by the "butchered" cut (a half of the original's length).
Time for a director's cut DVD?
