(Spoiler Alert).

To me this movie clearly reveals how sloppy and choppy work can create a mess that should never have existed to begin with. The original police work that convicted Anthony Porter as the murderer was complete enough and accurate enough to be certain that they had convicted the right man. The can of worms of problems would never have evolved if the stupid meddling liberal journalists didn't try to save yet another murderer from death row.

This movie even proves that all the work that those idiot student journalists did was inaccurate and still did not prove that Anthony Porter was innocent. They couldn't pin the murders on anyone so they used Alstory Simon as the scape goat by paying a corrupt P.I. (Paul Ciolino) to falsify evidence against him. Paul Ciolino goes through and threatens Alstory Simon's life unless he admits to having committed the crime but bribes him as well to confess. Alstory Simon under huge amounts of duress confesses to a crime that he never committed, Anthony Porter's death sentence is overturned and he is even released from jail. Alstory Simon is imprisoned for these crimes he never committed. Alstory Simon of course appeals the ruling and several witnesses reports/confessions are recanted and years and years of court hearings are held over several years, etc.

After running around in circles for several years (at huge costs court fees lawyer fees etc. I would like to add) everything comes back to what was understood and discovered in the beginning and that is that Anthony Porter was the actual killer. But due to double jeopardy laws he can not be tried again for the murders even though Anthony Porter is the actual person who committed the murders. However, eventually Alstory Simon was released from prison, thank God!

#1 Alstory Simon due to a group of idiot liberal journalists spent several years in prison for nothing at all!!!

#2 Anthony Porter, a man whom all the applicable testimonies and evidence proves is the actual murderer of two innocent people is a free man walking the streets today because of a group of idiot liberal journalists.

This movie is a perfect example of why liberals are screwing up a system that may not be perfect but they are making it much worse.
