Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Mike F — 08 Aug 2014
A Most Wanted Man's slow burn and subtle approach to the modern day espionage thriller may not be for all viewers, but those willing to commit will be greeted by a morally and structurally complex adaptation of spymaster Le Carre's novel.
Director Anton Corbijn crafts visually distinct and creative cinematography that matches the narratives bleak and understated tone. However, its the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman's brilliant and nuanced performance among a cast of all stars that anchors and drives the film home.
