Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Stewart F — 15 Aug 2014
Excellent movie that explores the uncertainties, nuances and contradictions of this crazy world. Ostensibly the fight against extremist Islam, the film explores the murkiness of the spying world, and the stultifying bureaucracy within which it has to operate.
On top of that, people on your own side prove to be treacherous and untrustworthy. In essence, such multi-faceted, shades of grey stories are the stock in trade of Le Carre. Seymour Hoffman is excellent.
A sad loss.
