Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Ja E — 12 Sep 2014
Hoffmann sounded Canadian at some points. Must there a be a part for a pert-bottomed young woman in every film? I suppose that's box-office for you. Dafoe was Dafoe. Cheekbones and lugubriousness. But then so was Hoffmann.
But without the cheekbones. Had the young Chechen even done anything wrong ever? Or are all Muslims just suspects? He's due a lot of dosh? Really?! And he can just give that away to someone as part of a con? It wasn't even plausible.
I know you have to suspend disbelief. It's a film. But I can only go so far. Boring.
