The whole film was built upon the final scene, therefore lacks any depth in the story. It's like the author had a Eureka moment of a scene, and then built a 2 hours story (or x pages in that book) around it.
NO disrespect to the late PSH, his performance in the final scene came across like "give me the Oscar". Excruciatingly Ott & cringe-worthy.
