Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Maksim B — 19 Jan 2015
This is not a film to cheer you up, and not just because of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Synopsis is a look inside the spy game shortly (I gathered 3-4 years) after 9/11, and how to track down the big fish.
Plot takes a while to get going, but is engrossing once it does. All the acting is great, and the tension is palpable. Still a few scenes that seemed out of place or unnecessary, but I think they were kept in because of PSH.
Can't say it's a favorite of mine, but it seems reasonably realistic, and certainly worth checking out of you like more thoughtful films.
