A really good spy-thriller is much better than the monotonous action blockbusters we get too many of nowadays. All you need is a very channeling lead actor and a building subject matter. The tension in this movie is stringed from Phillip Seymour Hoffman's performance, he drives the show.
He was one of the best actor's of our generation and his work here is award worthy.
