Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Phil P — 15 Aug 2014
Like most of Le Carre's book to screen adaptations, this one is pedantic and snail paced. With so much heavy handed emphasis on the 'message', these films forget to entertain us. Hoffman is brilliant as always but he is surrounded by a cast of 2D characters, in a plot that is paper thin, with no sense of urgency because there are no concrete stakes.
