Review of A Most Wanted Man (2014) by Sandy S — 19 Dec 2014
Mind blowing job by Philip. Outstanding acting performance. The accent, the body language and the emotions were spot on. Finally we see a really intelligent spy movie that didn't bias itself against or for Islam but just commented on how it is.
Dafoe is also amazing and deserves a special mention for his small, but effective and pertinent, role. This movie makes you rue Hoffman's death even more. Very subtly directed, this movie will silently yet surely keep you engaged while also keeping you second guessing every move.
Some of the raw scenes are particularly powerful. It's low budget feel really works well.
