Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Manofthemoon — 30 Jan 2015
Surprisingly effective slow burn of a gangster thriller. Both leads are first class and the results are better than expected. Don't go thinking it'll be Scorsese levels of violence, because "A Most Violent Year" is more about the chess game being played out as a small businessman struggles to do what's needed rather than what's right.
Highly enjoyable.
