Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Ky K — 06 Feb 2015
Perhaps the best crime drama of the year. It's not an gangster flick but the story of honest and hardworking businessman who tries to save his empire during most violent and corrupted era in NYC's history.
Oscar Issac was superb, arguably most underrated performance of the year. Jessica chastain was also good in supporting role. It was slow but it was extremely well written and directed by J.C. Chandor.
