An unusual film in its sedated pace, sort of reminding me of Killing Them Softly. Both films somewhat Trojan Horse steady, artistic filmmaking into an exciting crime concept. A Most VIolent Year is a wholly better film and firmly places atmosphere and subtly over "mobster thrills.
" It demands a movieloving, patient audience. Luckily I'm into that.
