Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Ian T — 26 Jan 2015
It kind of held my attention in parts but several problems with this. Some scenes make little or know sense. Why you would help assault a salesman who knows you address and would most likely go to the cops. There's a robbery, where the guy being robbed runs off with the guys who rob him, who now seem to want to help him.
Then after chasing down and finding the guy who has been robbing him for months, (almost bankrupting him), Oscar Isaac characters catches him then lets him go, for no apparent reason. Oh and as the guy is running away he tells him who he has been selling too. As you would. Makes no fucking sense. But the real problem with this is that it never makes you give two fucks about the cut throat world of home heating oil.
